BATEC Mini Tech Fairs
In its mission to create outreach pathways for the sustainability of regional IT education programs, BATEC partners Bristol, Bunker Hill, Middlesex, Northern Essex, Quinsigamond and Roxbury Community Colleges as well as the University of Massachusetts, Boston, each host a series of Mini-Technology Fairs throughout the school year. The Mini-Technology Fairs are individualized high school outreach programs designed to build more awareness and education of IT studies and careers as well as create college access opportunities for students. The programs are held at the campuses of each of the BATEC college partners and are attended by high school juniors and seniors enrolled in IT programs from high schools in the Boston and Metro-Area schools. Past programs have included panel discussions with faculty and students; financial aid, admissions, and career service workshops; and campus tours.
