Overview
BATEC provides extensive professional development to faculty, including specific workshops and training in curriculum development.
IT Futures Forum
Through its annual IT Futures Forum, educators are introduced to relevant information technologies and services that are driving our local industries. During the daylong event, industry experts, through keynotes, panels and hands-on workshops, highlight the regional IT landscape, including projected job opportunities and skill needs.
Summer Institutes
Summer Institutes provide intensive training in new and emerging technologies, skills standards-based curriculum development, and case study methodologies. The BATEC Summer Institute offers faculty an opportunity to explore topics in technology and pedagogy in greater depth, ranging in length from one day to more intensive four-day programs. Workshop instructors represent both higher education and industry.
